Tip and Daisy met in Southern Vietnam in the small village in the Mekong Delta named Tra Vinh. Both were working on recovering POW/MIA personnel lost during the Vietnam war. Daisy was a professional linguist translating for the Vietnamese government and American recovery team. Tip was a forensic photographer and recovery specialist for the American team. After several months of working together and discovered they had numerous mutual interests including art, humor, and photography. When they returned to Hanoi they started dating and built a wonderful relationship professionally and personally. When Tip was offered a career to work in the U.S. Space Program at Vandenberg, Ca, both decided it was time to start a family and settle down.
